Mudkip Orange
Let's see if anyone notices... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9yboDoApBk Location: Inuyama Bridge, Meitetsu (Nagoya Railway), immediately south of JR Unuma Station. This was a joint road-rail bridge until 2000, when the cars moved to a new parallel bridge and the existing structure was left for trains and trains alone. Link to comment

disturbman
Cool, I was looking for video of this exact same bridge but I didn't know its name or its location. Link to comment
ToniBabelony
Ah, Inuyama bridge! I've played the complete Inuyama line on Densha de GO! Nagoya-hen continuously just to run over the Inuyama bridge as a reward. Such as shame that location is gone. The only street running action where great EMU run the streets is maybe on the Kyoto Tozai line from Keihan and the Fukui streetcars (Kumaden isn't really street running IMO). Link to comment
bill937ca
Meitetsu replaced that bridge several years ago, so all the videos are history now. Here's a couple of Japanese language pages on the bridge. http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%8A%AC%E5%B1%B1%E6%A9%8B http://www.nmt.ne.jp/~ysas/tabi/0003meitetsu/inuyama.html http://www.takagi-ryo.ac/docs/id/199/ http://mat0213.blog17.fc2.com/blog-entry-556.html Link to comment
cteno4
I have always wanted to model this bridge. was a great example of japanese trains! going down the middle of the street on a bridge. showed there was a prototype for just about anything doing japanese trains! cheers jeff Link to comment
quinntopia
This is fantastic! I just added a somewhat similar bridge to my layout but had no prototypical reference! No I can detail it and add road markings with some confidence! Cool! (thanks disturbman!) Link to comment
disturbman
(No prob, don't forget to thank Mudkip too. I wanted to show you this but never would have been able to if Mudkip hadn't make this thread.) Link to comment
NGT6 1315
Amazing - thanks for those links! I think I'm beginning to understand the purpose of those musical horns as well - would these serve to increase attention even beyond what a normal horn would achieve? Link to comment
