Hello,

my very first Sound equipped DCC Train is completed. Today, I digitalized my 485 Series EMU with an ESU Loksound 5 Micro Kato Japan Decoder with my brand new ESU Lokprogrammer. For the Sound I used the MT54 Sound Project by Desktop Station.

Installation of the Decoder was very easy. I had to isolate parts of the Metal Body with Kapton Tabe to secure the Decoder from Damage.

The Decoder itself was easy to put into position.

The most tricky Parts was to find a good position for the Speaker. I just put it onto the Seats. When the Motor Car is closed, you will not see the Speaker. I don't plan to install interior Light, so the Space was fine to me. For the headlights, I used FL12 Decoders.

For the complete installation, it took me about 2h + 1h for the Configuration of the Sound Project. This was my first Sound Decoder Installation and my debut to use the Lokprogrammer I got for Christmas.
