N Scale Project: Metsä no Sakura-Tani

Decided to go back to it.

 

This layout is inspired by Japanese and Finnish sceneries and forestries. Two nations that have profound respect towards both nature and railways. One that will inspire the theme for this. 

 

Construction is 2x4 or 125x75cm with KATO unitrack on Ikea table. Initial wirings are done but drillings will begin once I procure an insulation board on january as to not ruin the table. 

 

A possible inclusion of a tomytec moving bus system may be done depending on the space the turntable will take. An extension consisting of a hillside tramline/small forest locomotive will also be in consideration.

 

The plan consists of a fiddle yard, a turntable, a finnish station, a small village and lush natural forests. The layout will be green winter or a cool spring. 

 

Trackwork is done. Currently needing to clean the tracks and temporarily hold them with blue tack.
