Meitetsu Nagoya Station train announcer

Chunichi Newspaper video on the station train announcer perched above the platform at Meitetsu Nagoya station.  Train headways and volume of information required to be conveyed are such that automated announcements are not practible.

That is one crazy station. Loading on one platform and unloading on the center platform. If I am not mistaken there is more than one loading position along the length of the platform.

I believe Meitetsu plans to dismantle the department store above the train tracks and completely rebuild the station to accommodate multiple tracks in each direction on different levels.

For running that station as a show layout, it would work great with a cosplayer at a side desk doing the announcing!

always thought it would be fun to liven up a train show with some motorman
