What are you detail applications tricks?

I started to apply details to my Kato EF200 and other rolling stock with fair amount of success. I was curious if others had tips that they would like to share. My trick is when applying antenna details to E235's use a small drill to loosen up the hole that the antenna fits in and it will go in easy peasy. What are your tricks to install those tiny details we all love.
