How do I get a Train Signature?

Recommended Posts

I see how a few members have Japanese locomotives and rolling stock decorating their signatures at the bottom of their comments every so often.
At first I was dissuaded from this, being not too technical with computers, but when I discovered that the SL Aso Boy (is there an SL Hitoyoshi?) and C53 exist on this website, I had to find out how to get one for myself!

Can someone please tell me how to install these trains on my JNS signature?

@SL58654Gō

you can edit your signature this way

  • go up to your username in the top right corner of the screen and click on it for the drop-down menu
  • choose “account settings”
  • select “signature”
  • you can now add images and text to your signature.

please don’t add a huge amount to your signature as it tends to just make thing much longer in scrolling with mobile devices.

cheers

@cteno4 Thanks! I hope you won't think that I got carried away! Wanted to link it to my Hisatsu Line group's cause as well.

We had a great chance to exhibit our support and raise awareness for its restoration at the Kumamoto City Prefectural Office.

My photos of the line were included as well!

@SL58654GōYes we like folks to keep their signatures as short as possible as it just increases scrolling and can be a real pain for folks on mobile devices as the narrow window makes the signature get very tall. If everyone stars using big signatures (as they did when the feature first hit the forum) it got very messy.

we suggest you rotate smaller signatures than but a bunch of stuff in together. That makes it look nicer as well and new treats for folks to find. More about you can also go in your member profile.

cheers

@cteno4 Thanks! There are just so many small digital Japanese locomotives so I guarantee I'll be fiddling around with them a lot. Especially since I'll very shortly start breaking ground on my layout and post updates regularly here.
