Kato HO unitrack 2-840 & 2-841 query

I've a few Kato HO unitrack 2-840 & 2-841 most of them are the first version with no options for changing power settings and I just got a 2-840 V2 with power setting options. I could be misremembering but the underside of the ones I previously purchased I'm fairly certain look nothing like what I just got. 

Now for DCC usage what should I be doing with them?

Update all of my 2-840 & 2-841 #4 manual points are v2 and when I set them to non-pr (power routing) my test probe beeps on every section of same side rail I test. More then I can say about the #4 powered points I have which are all power routing
