Hello to all,

I just could get my hand on a master piece such as this one:

It's a Micro Ace model. but my question is...

I have only Kato tracks so is it some compatibility with Micro Ace machines?

I do already know that there is no problem with Tomix machines but for Micro Ace... I don't know...

Could you help me?

Thanks in advance.

MicroAce runs fine on Kato track. I have a couple of MA trains and I’ve had no issues with them on my Unitrack setups.

I would be very surprised if a specific manufacturer specified a particular type of track for their trains. Interoperability seems to be a big thing with model trains, unless like me you model something like three-rail AC, at which point your options for track are suddenly more limited.

Yeah, you should have no problem. I'm fairly certain all the Japanese manufacturers standardised on track & wheelset dimensions rather early, with the only pizza cutter flanges only being on Plarail.

I have Kawai wagons that cannot run across Kato Unitrack points without derailing. I'm attempting to replace the axles; am waiting for Tomix long axles to be restocked (the Kato axles are too thick),
