Intro:

Hi guys, i already included "departure music and jingles" for one of my recent topics. Today i would talk what i types of departure melodies i do like. Dont forget to comment your opinion below! And lets go!

What departure melody is?

Firstly: let me tell shortly what is departure melodies. Departure melodies or jingles are type of train annoucements system. Its used mostly in Japan (im not sure, but it using in South Korea too). Departure melodies shows, when train is about to departure. After departure melody ends, voice says that doors about to close and people, who is late should wait next train.

My favourite departure melodies:

線車メ日デ: (im not sure is this right word on Japanese lol). This is popular departure melody, mostly on Yamanote Line. It was my favourite station melody. I think, most people who have ever rode on Yamanote line knows this melody.

謹の施しントロリ &  たなばたさま: its a Hiratsuka and Chigasaki stations melodies. I put them in both place because its next to each other. Tokaido, Takasaki & Tohoku line has really nice departure melodies.

ドリームパーク: its truck 9-10 departure melodies. It located in my favourite station - Tokyo! Its really nice made, like others departure melodies here!

ロミオとジュリIット: its yonohommachi station melody. Its really nice, but sadly, its removed 😞

「RYUとぴあ音頭」,「かえるの合唱」&「白鳥の湖」: its Rygasakishi station melody. I very love 白鳥の湖 one!

Outro:

Thanks for reading this topic, u will say, that im 100% said some of this melodies not right. Dont forget to comment your opinion. Next post, maybe i will make second part. See you next time, goodbye!

Interesting topic! But since I don't pay too much attention to how the melodies sound, I only have 3 melodies that I spontaneously like from my area of interest.

1. Hakodate Station Doraemon Melody (1998 -2002) -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZDaLBHkA2g
2. Hakodate Station departure Melody -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcmWW7fVcRg
3. Sapporo City Transportation Bureau Station Melody -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34lPchHuP0c

It certainly makes sense to include a link with a melody example so that you can also listen to this melody 🙂

Best regards,

Ulli
