bill937ca
While at first glance this isn't that surprising, at second glance you realize this goes right through Golden Week. Looks like Japan will have a really quiet Golden Week. From the article: “The suspension period is from the first train on April 14, 2020 (Tuesday) to the last train on May 8. The operation is scheduled to resume from the first train on May 9 (Sat), but the operation will continue to be examined based on the spread of the new coronavirus infection and information announced by the government, local governments, and related organizations. Details can be found in the release on the company's website.” http://tetsudo-shimbun.com/headline/entry-1992.html?fbclid=IwAR0Q97pb2xShb0OlkjGWPUemEU6r1myvX8ML26BQgJiDqYUO2XkEFpfrPdo 2 1 Link to comment
katoftw
I guess with tight operational financial overheads and toursim make up 70% of their tickets sale. I guess running a small bus hourly would be much cheaper to run. Link to comment
