No luck. I’ll wait until tonight to see if he responds because I actually have been awaiting the E001. Just in general anyone who has order from him most recently, have y’all gotten mail?

I had email exchanges with them in June, August and mid-September and they are extremely responsive. I am in California, they would reply to my email when I wake up the next morning. It sounds very unusual of them not responding.

Extremely weird, I’ve also placed some orders on the 23rd of October which did come, but now it’s kind of radio silent. I honestly hope all is good with him.

I don’t and never did. A RGR account shouldn’t impact email communication.

 

I talked to Masaharu end of last week, a few days ago and today. But it was short emails that didn’t require him to check stock or an order list. It’s probably bad luck.

 

Once again, try messaging him via their Instagram to check if he got your email.

Also do check your higher level spam folder with your email provider. This usually require you log into your email from their webmail system to see this first line spam filter folder.

 

ive always done business with rgr via email and always responses in a day or so.

Might have to wait a couple of days after Kato or Tomix etc.. releases new item information. Maybe pricing? Or receiving lots of new items etc.. Hopefully you can get in touch with him. Usually quick response and helpful.
 

Messaging from different email provider can be one option. 

New item information are provided;

Kato.. usually beginning of month

Tomix.. usually 2nd week of Thursday

(Year end etc. might be different)

I tried that before going to sleep and lo and behold… I got no response unfortunately. I’m not sure what more to do now.

@disturbmanDon't worry at all. I’ll try my best to get in contact with him again to see what is going on. Although it does suck I’m just going to keep on trying!
 

Can you just write to him in general to see if he does respond though? If he does respond, then it’s possibly something on my end. I just want to rule out possibilities.

He wrote me five hours ago, and I have been in contact with him throughout the last week. I can answer him and mention your case, but need more info. It’s no issue at all.

Do not worry all! He is fine and just contacted me. Seems like there was some problems on my end and he had just contacted me on instagram for further clearance.

Does anyone have any tips for ordering from RG Rokko for delivery within Japan? I will be visiting the in-laws in the coming weeks and would love to pick a few items while I'm in the neighbourhood. I've tried using the Japanese RG Rokko site, but my Japanese is woefully inadequate and I can't even find a way to put items in any sort of shopping cart, let alone locate the specific trains in which I am interested. 🤔 I have sent the RG Rokko staff an email and am awaiting a response but just wanted to see if there was any experience within the group here. 

 

Yes....I have considered asking my wife and/or in-laws to help me translate and order, but this is a last resort 'cause they don't really get trains. 🤪

RG Rokko has a vacation schedule so you may want to verify the dates

Admittedly, the site can be quite something, but once you get used to it it's fine. Use Google translate and some pattern recognition and you should be fine 😛. Otherwise you could use the English site for browsing.

The JP site is basically one big stock tracker, you actually need to E-Mail your order to RG-Rokko (or call, since you're in JP) . It doesn't have any order functionality like the usual style of online shopping.

Tokonami-san (guy running RG Rokko) also speaks some good English, so contacting him in English should be no problem, though you definetly should specify that you want the item shipped within JP and not overseas, as this affects pricing/taxes and shipping.

If you have the item number google: "railgallery-r" followed by the item number

 

This should hopefully bring up the correct "table" on the site containing information on whether or not the item is in stock.

Thanks for the advice. Tokonami returned my email about ordering and shipping within Japan very quickly. Once I email him a list of the items I want along with my address in Japan, he'll send a shipping cost estimate before my order is confirmed. He says to allow one day for shipping to my address on Shikoku. Impressive service, and I look forward to ordering from this shop.

Alright, I've bought from RG-Rokko before, and I recently tried to put an order in for the C58 SL Galaxy but when attempting to process my order I'm getting a postal code error. Have any of you come across this? I'm in the UK, and i've updated the second line in my address settings to just be my postcode, but still run into the error when going to Paypal. 

 

I have reached out to RG-Rokko already but wonder if any of you have had the same issue recently?

I’ve done a fair an out of sending stuff from the US internationally all over the world. I’ve found many of the shipping systems I’ve used sometimes want data in forms not quite what the folks on the destination country would use. The last year or so I’ve been using pirateship a lot and like every fourth package how they label an international package is not similar to how the person in the country supplied the address as they would write it in the country. So I’ve always checked with the recipient before sending and they all say yeah that should work but not how someone in the country would address a package to someone else in the country, but they worked.

 

i expect this is just the shipping system not quite in synch with the uk system and hopefully rg Rokko can get get it straightened out for you.
