Guest bill937ca
Micro Ace is going to offer a Ichi-Go, or the First, Locomotive A1 Class and 4 Passenger Cars (Contained in a Wooden Box) set. This may interest the steam engine collectors as this train is described as the "Ichi-Go Kikansha", literally "the first locomotive", and was imported from Britain in 1872 for the start of the railway service in Japan. It ran between Shinbashi and Yokohama. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10029231 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10029231p/10/1 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10029231a/20/1 http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10029231k/50/1 Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
The locomotive is pretty much exactly what I wanted for my Ghibli modules, but I was planning on having it pull a couple of freight cars. I've got Kiha01, Kiha02 and Kiha03 to do the passenger service on those modules. Then again, the Ichi-go might be a bit too old fashioned to fit in with the rest.... I'll probably end up buying it anyway ;) Link to comment
Bernard
Martijn - If you purchase it, would you put a decoder in it? That looks like it would be a challenge with this steam engine. Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
I'm planning on making all my trains digital, so this one would get a decoder as well yes. Judging by the pictures, it looks like there might be some space above the motor inside the cabin. Link to comment
