railsquid
I decided to make this end of the layout into bucolic, onsen-strewn countryside, so I can go on holiday without moving from my desk (this bit is just to the left of it). Cue return of a bit of scenery which I made long ago and which has been in storage for a couple of layout iterations. takahachikawa-2023-09-26_01 by Rail Squid, on Flickr takahachikawa-2023-09-26_02 by Rail Squid, on Flickr 7 Link to comment

railsquid
Well, the emergency albedo doesn't seem to have had much effect, as today was record-breaking in terms of the warmest it's been this late in the year in Tokyo, so what better time to think about a nice hot bath or two, after digging out some other bits of pre-loved scenery which fits reasonably well together (execuse the leaning lamppost):z takahachikawa-2023-09-28_01 by Rail Squid, on Flickr 4 Link to comment
railsquid
Couple more shots for good measure: takahachikawa-2023-09-28_02 by Rail Squid, on Flickr takahachikawa-2023-09-28_03 by Rail Squid, on Flickr I feel like this is starting to come together, especially since I hit on something prototypical but slightly unusual which neatly solves an embankment underbridge issue which was in need of a reasonably plausible solution (not yet implemented). 4 Link to comment
MeTheSwede
It's probably the heat that makes the lamp post lean. It might straighten up as the temperature cools. 1 Link to comment

On further investigation, it turns out that recent record-breaking rainfall events have resulted in aggregate being washed out from under the road surface, so structural repairs will be necessary.
