KuHa 66/MoHa 62?

I recently came across this EMU series on Kokuden.net. They look somewhat like a 111/113/115 Series unit but with differences. Were they rebuilt from something older as some of them appear to have had spoked wheels?

That must be the 2nd 62 series:

Quote

JNR 62 series train (2nd generation) - Suburban train of the 20 m class three door cross seat produced in 1974 by the body renewal of the 72 series train. → JNR 72 series train # See Moha 62 form · Kuha 66 form .

It looks like a 72 series train that was rebuilt with a 11x series body.

So apparently 6 driving trailers and 6 motor cars forming 3 sets of Tc-Mp-Mp-Tc sets with all motor units having their own pantographs and not forming Mp-M pairs like on the more modern 113 series.

Very interesting!  Smart of JNR to renew older stock but make them look completely modern.  Now I need to be on the look out for that tomix set.

I think Roundhouse/Kato sell spoked wheels, no idea whether they're the right size though and obviously fitting them to the powered chassis would be difficult or impossible. May be worth a go if you find a Tomytec set which hasn't been upgraded. They're surprisingly visible even behind bogie sideframes.

Actually kato sells powered spoked wheel replacements too, but the problem is you'd have the modern trucks with the old style wheels.  Maybe instead you could get the assy parts trucks from the upcoming kato iida line kumoha 53/64 release, which may fit the kato 115 yokosuka set.
