Assembled and stickered a B Train Shorty Toden Arakawa 7511 after dinner. Dug out a couple of old Kato Pocket Line items from a few years ago and photographed them.

You are looking for a Kato 10-502-1 (red loco) or 10-502-1 (blue loco) but be warned this model uses a kato 11-103 drive and doesn't have much towing power. Both are long sold out but do get reissued from time to time.

Tomytec has also issued several small electric locomotives.

They pop up on Ebay every so often.

I’m well familiar with that Kato 11-103 drive. I also model in HOe...

Those little Tomytec loco’s look cute are they really powered? At that price?

Unfortunately not, you have to buy separate power units, and separate pantographs.  The cost usually ends up being the same or more as a normal loco, with slightly worse detail.

I checked some JPN bus stations and these look quite square, actually they do not like my design.

If you have so much space, you can go around with the buses and there is no need for a turntable.

Imho modern bus loops before rebuilt stations tend to look similar.

Actually, it’s not too bad, about £40 for the three pieces (plus p&p of course). So I’ve ordered it with a box van and a funny guard like van unit thingy!

Fitted some lights to the yard buildings and mounted them to some tarmac card  which will get blended in,glued the track down and brought some of the Trains back out.The piece of paper in the middle will be the greenmax station office building.

I like the simple gray background.  Wish I had room to a setup like that!

Cheers gents.

bill,

it s  actually foam underlay for laminate floors, high density so it’s quite tough but easy to cut with a craft knife.Because I m given to changing my mind I wanted,if possible, something that looked ok but that I did nt need to ballast so when I take it up any damage will be minimal.plus I wanted this as a display area as much as a yard and I think it’s an ideal colour to show off the Trains.

I wish my shed was bigger bill😂😂👍no matter how much room we have we always wish we had more ha ha👍😀😀

We're a pair.  Can't count the number of times I have changed layouts. I've long felt my one-bedroom condo was flawed because it doesn't have a trainroom (second bedroom).:toothy10::toothy10:

Hi bill,

we sure are,any room outside? Shed maybe?

I'm on the 12th floor of my condo building.  Lots of room outside..... but not for a layout!

Hi guys! Finished the Grennmax factory kit! I'm happy with the result. Now I have to finish some accesories from the kit (storage tanks, and others) and wait for some of the Tomytec industrial plant to arrive so I can start playing with everything and plan where to go with it ;)

True, having just finished a loft conversion, I now want a giant shed (with heating) for more space. Not sure how trains will get from A to B, but that’s not important right now!
