Lina_Blue
Finally, I got arround to install those platform doors. Sadly, I don't have enough for my planed platform lenght, that's why it's a little shorter. Also, didn't yet install any further detailing, as I'm unsure where everything should go operations wise. 8 Link to comment

Are there also decoration stickers for the platform doors? They look a bit plain. Link to comment

JR 500系
They look great! Now it looks like a modern station ~ I bet someone is already at it, trying to modify it to be able to open and close remotely! Link to comment
Welshbloke
Built a Noch Glühwein stall. Laser cut card: Used Glue N Glaze to fix it together, as it dries invisible. 6 Link to comment
Lina_Blue
Here it is. I fitted one platform with fixtures and lights. No decals. Looks great! Doesn't it? 9 Link to comment
NXCALE
I finished printing the "footpath" for this module. Btw, I didnt paint it. That piece goes in the layout as below (yellow square) So my first module is looking like this I think I will not work in small details at this moment as I could have new ideas and change things later. Also, I will be way more busy (work) since next week... so maybe it is time to slow down... Power Up! 13 Link to comment

That's not a true C64, even the keys don't work... I think the functionality to be able to just boot it up and type in some basic code is essential. Link to comment

JR 500系
Wow that is just fantastic! You could probably make any structure that can sit into any odd shaped space since it is also prototypical to Japan! Nice job! And a little more work on my layout over the holiday: Gotta love the colours on that Narita Express! Keihin Tohoku line joins in Fix up the fire station with lights and even a blinking beacon on top! Flashing lights are nice! Most of the stuff are no wired up Yard parking has some nice trains in there for maintenance Gotta love the E257 Asuza! Overall view now, with all those messy wires to be hidden up... With the top glass back on Now I cant wait to get them all wired up to the mains and viola! 14 Link to comment

The paint on the road peels off in the first attempt with the rhombuses and the tomare sign. . Are you sealing the transfers with anything afterwards? Like MOD PODGE? A test with matte finish Mod Podge might help keep things in place. Just a thought. A test might be wise. Edited November 8, 2018 by cteno4 Trimmed quote to response 2 1 Link to comment

Hey there! I actually did a full building out of this one on the inside. I have a step by step up on my Flickr account - - You can get to it by clicking the images below. I like to do these insides of buildings like these with those GIANT windows. TOMIX has some great, less expensive options, but with nothing inside, they look odd. Hope it helps! 3 Link to comment
cteno4
Nice job Malcom! I’ve often thought to do the same with these as they scream for it! Jeff 1 Link to comment
Khaul
I finally got a bit done today. I glued the scenic separation at the end of the module. The separation will include a loading dock to form the last side of the factory yard at the end of the road. Only the foam core is glued in. The blue beam will support the pipes going over the tracks. The idea is to make frame for the triple track hole in the wall. 15 Link to comment

bill937ca
I moved my Showa era interurban layout to a 36 x 24 inch bulletin board base. When I'm not working on this layout or operating it, it will be stowed under the hobby table. This leaves the hobby table for a small steam era train layout. The plan for the hobby table is a double oval with a Metcalfe goods shed and perhaps a station. 8 Link to comment
NXCALE
My first attempt to make a junction route indicator (JRI), non japanese To improve it, I will need to replace the head nozzle from 0.4 to 0.25. I already received the 0.25 nozzle but I dont have to tool to replace it. As I havent done something like that before, I will need to watch some videos (or I could break something). JRI temporary attached to a signal. Also, I found this tree design in a website: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:279864 Apparently, this can be modified to have different tree shapes. I just tried to print it at a "N scale" size to see how it looks in the layout. Cheers, 6 Link to comment
Khaul
That looks like a good use for a 3D printer, but it seems you have to worry about the right printing head, the quality of the stuff you are using for the printing and so on. So much for the people saying you could print parts to repair your washing machine at home! 1 Link to comment
NXCALE
Yes, I need to try to print this and other things with a smaller nozzle and play around with the set up options to improve it. Also I just got top-notch original filament but I want to finish the cheapy one I already have first. Sometime ago, I tried to scratch build a route indicator using styrene strips. That took several hours and the end result was not really nice. My layout will need like 8 route indicators so scratch building could take too much time (therefore printing is still the first option). This JRI is maybe still usable even with that quality. With some filling putty and sanding, it could look better. I will try. Link to comment

Drunkenclam
The wife gave me a little time this weekend, But she doesn't seem to understand, painting takes time and multipy layer. SIgh So started doing the second staircase to the main station, taking up the Kato paving and painting it to match the Kobaru sheets. Also cut the mdf to start raising the street level above the main line. Next step is to start actally making an incline. But thats for next time. 7 Link to comment
