Kiha66 Posted September 20, 2016 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Looks like a one of the early JNR bonnet EMUs, either a 485/489 series or possibly a 151/161/181 series. I'm leaning towards the 485 as I don't believe the 181 had the rooftop headlights. You can see the bonnet and the limited express livery right before it gets crushed. If we had a clear shot of the nose the existence of red whiskers would confirm 485. Link to comment
Kiha66 Posted September 20, 2016 Share Posted September 20, 2016 Nevermind, the 485/489 and the 181 series were both post 1962 (first built 1964), so it has to be a 151 or 161 series, which entered service in 1958. 1 Link to comment
