Atomsk
Has anyone had problems with the trucks on kato passenger cars melting? I've had two SuHa43 series cars (5133, 5134) on which the sideframes and the plastic parts of the axles have melted. After running for only a few hours, on and off, three of the four trucks on the two cars had each overheated the inboard axle, to the point that the car derailed, and the axle fell out of the truck. The first one, the plastic part of the axle melted in two, while the others the sideframe warped to the point that it could no longer hold the axle in place. I can't find replacements for these trucks (kato TR47 #5133-1D) anywhere either. Edited July 5, 2016 by Atomsk Link to comment
railsquid
There's a fairly recent thread here with a similar-sounding issue, not sure what it's called but should be easy enough to find. (Edit) aha, here: http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/11530-the-perplexing-case-of-the-melty-lounge-cars/ Edited July 5, 2016 by railsquid Link to comment
