This new rail pass would be VERY useful in the summer, when there are a lot of festival events going in the Tōhoku region.

But what excites me the most is the unlimited use of the BRT!  :)

It is a 6 day flexi pass.  To be used over a 14 day period.  Be careful how you use it.  I'd save it for the Shinkansen or other expensive tourist trains.  And just pay on the day for local services.

But the BRT is really interesting. It is unlike any other normal buses as they travel with high speeds and there are areas where the buses will stop for the in-coming bus to pass through...

 

Back on topic, the pass is great for travellers who arrived in Japan and decided to go to Hokkaido but forgot to get the National JR Pass before touch down on Japan ~
