velotrain
I found this image and wondered why the covers are off the wheel wells? Why does it look like there is only a single axle in there? Is that replacing the truck for transport? Too bad Kato doesn't make a dummy basic 3-car set - this would make an interesting consist. Link to comment
katoftw
japan's common rail guage = 1067mm. japan's shinkansen guage = 1435mm. The EH200 pulling it denote the track they are on would be 1067mm gauge. E6 abnormal wheels + missing bogie covers denotes temp bogies fitted for 1067mm guage. Where did you find the image? Thanks - I was aware of that, but obviously wasn't thinking about it. Can't say for sure - likely a search on EH200 or Blue Thunder. When I'm looking for photos, I go thru them so quickly that I don't really pay attention to where they are. I just saved about 30 ballast train images in an hour or so. Link to comment

velotrain
In the video with the EH200 hauling it, it looked like they were using bogies instead of the single axle rig. What are the small side windows in the cab used for - the ones lower down than the main window? Link to comment
