Related to my earlier post regarding keiben 1/87 models/layouts, one of the most famous keiben railways was the Shizuoka Rlwy Sun'en Line, which was a long line operating in the Omaezaki Peninsula region of Shizuoka Prefecture. Archive film and print matter covering this railway is plentiful, which is likely one reason why so many excellent models are built of this prototype, or are inspired by it. This series of videos is of variable quality, but all of valuable historical/modeling interest. Especially good is the sequence of film from 3:46 in the second video, continuing on in the third video until 6:18. The trackage filmed (in 1968) is from Shin Fujieda to Sagara and on to the end of the line at Horino Shinden. Good quality color film, taken from trackside as well as on board. Particularly valuable for prototype modelers are the scenes approaching the stations, as the throat trackage and station layouts are clearly seen. Enjoy!
