Kato 10-1280 Hankyu 9300

Can anyone help? I just received my DCC ready Hankyu 9300, no problem installing the function decoders for the end cars, but the decoder for the motor, an FL13, just doesn't slide into plac. Its about a 1/2 inch too long, and fouls the flywheel.

 

Has anyone else tried this conversion?

Hello,

 

I believe this model was intended to be DCC Friendly.  Unfortunately, due to a manufacturing error, Kato had to remove all reference to DCC on the website.
