miyakoji
Yet another KIHA40-based joyful train, looks quite good although I think my favorite is still JR Shikoku's Iyonada Monogatari. This is the Hanayome Noren, intended for limited express sightseeing service on the Nanao Line, which will begin October 3rd. The livery is meant to look like the lacquerware from Wajima, a city on the northwest side of the Noto Peninsula. http://railf.jp/news/2015/08/27/100000.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanao_Line http://www.samurai-japan.biz/other/af_wajima/ http://www.jnsforum.com/community/topic/8898-jr-shikoku-kiro47-iyo-nada-monogatari/ good video of August 23rd open day at Kanazawa Depot, this train is featured at 6:00: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8Ba9NuVj_w 4 Link to comment
Sascha
I think its a very Beautiful train. I saw this a couple of weeks back, and bookmarked it. I really like the Japanese style inside the train. Are there anymore videos of it? http://tetsudo-shimbun.com/article/topic/entry-450.html Edited August 27, 2015 by Sascha Link to comment

katoftw
Kiha48? Only has driver cab at one end of car. Nice looking train inside and out. 2 return trips a day. Link to comment
Densha
Kiha48? Only has driver cab at one end of car. To be precise: KiHa 48 4 + KiHa 48 1004, according to the article miyakoji linked to in the first post. 1 Link to comment
miyakoji
Yeah sorry I meant to include the exact car numbers but I forgot. I don't often think specifically of 40, 47, and 48, I just lump them all together. Link to comment
Guest ___
I'm just glad to see one more 40 getting a second or third lease on life. Link to comment
