JAM 2015

In a blaze of efficiency I remembered to charge my camera, and upon arrival noticed the memory card was still in my computer at home. And I'd forgotten to charge my mobile, so only have a couple of blurry shots of bits of layout detail which interested me.

As promised, here are the pictures of the JAM 2015 I took. It's not too interesting, though I did manage to find an awesome layout, called the 'Shimanami Line', which is just a wonderfully packed, compact and transportable piece of art. Not so much a layout, as it doesn't depict operations or reflect a certain prototype, but it emits a wonderful feeling you get when watching it. It's like a good Hayao Miyazaki movie, but then in N-gauge: http://homepage2.nifty.com/kikori503/nsima00.htm

Most of the pictures in my little gallery are of this layout and the Japanese Taiwanese Railway Fan Association display layout. With the latter, I went drinking afterwards and had a great time discussing international relations and railway design, as there were both Japanese from all over the country and a few Taiwanese.

P.s. This picture shows the first development stage of the KRDE type that Nanyō Bussan is developing in corporation with Kabuto Models (me). If this works out well, there might be more development between Nanyō and Kabuto.

I'm pretty sure I saw this layout in a Tomix or Hobby of Model Railroading magazine recently.

Looks like an Ntrak module? Or just expanded ttrak?
