HO C11 from early 1960's question

Who made this locomotive back then ? As the running gear was sweet and so well made, no tellin where the boiler is at as well. Any info would be appreciated.

Could you tell us a little more about the provenance of this item? How do you know it's from the early 1960`s? Are there any maker markings in the inside of the body? Is the body diecast or brass? The more information provided, the higher the probability of an answer.

It's made out of Brass and looks to be something that might of been in the form of a kit. Hence, no mfg info. I recall it had a silky smooth motor and drivers. As noted on the number board it was C11F2.
