Cheap & Cheerful Video No.8 - Tramway 8620s and Kato EF58

So I finally managed to get some video of the Tramway 8620 class 2-6-0s that I bought from forum member Keitaro' web shop Loco1hobby - thanks David! :)

 

As you can see from these two videos they're very nice runners that can haul a decent sized train, in this case twelve cars. Detail and finish are superb, with an extensive set of alternate parts being provided, such as smoke deflectors, headlights and funnels/chimneys.

Now that I'm happy with the way they run they'll have the detail parts and decoders fitted.

 

I also recently bought a very nice Kato EF58 from a local seller on eBay. The model was allegedly used, but as is often the case there was no sign that it had ever been more than test run. For a long time I wasn't interested in having an EF58, and to be honest the only reason I bought this one was because it was very cheap. Now that I have one I think they're wonderful, and I can't imagine why I didn't get one sooner.
