Being towed through a station.

*why aren't there more videos of this, given the number of enthusiasts in the UK? If this was Japan, you would probably have three or four video versions of the same train at the same location/time, by different people.

Also, apparently they're using Arnold couplers, that's a massive gap in between the cars ...

When you have very sharp turnouts and S curves, you can either have tapering ends to keep the cars from hitting each other's corners or increase the distance between them. Older cars had tapered or rounded ends, while newer cars tend to be straight with a longer connection.

 

The cab video is great, it looks very similar to the cab of a modern german ice emu.

Probably a result of their length and the requirement not to run afoul of platform edges.
