  1. I know this sounds like a stupid question since I already technically answered it with the KATO/Peco 009 Oscar post I made months back. Still, since it's the end of the year in a few weeks, I was wondering if we will get more KATO/Peco 009 locomotives in 2025. Since Bachmann has already beaten the race with their Quarry Hunslets, Double Farlies, and the recent Talyllyn 009 models, I could see KATO/Peco could do models of Russel of the Welsh Highland Railway, or the Earl and the Countess from the Welshpool and Llanfair Railway or for non-steam locomotives, Vale of Ffestiniog or a couple of Simplex locomotives, I don't know, spewing some ideas.
  2. Hi all, I just had my first turnout arrive in the post and the back looks nothing like any of the videos I have been watching I discovered today that I was watching HO/OO gauge. Turnout is a Peco SLE-396 Streamline Electrofrog turnout. All the wires behind the frog are attached(videos had a loose end to wire for polarity}. None of the rails are cut (they were in the videos) There does not appear to be the wire to removed that crosses the non existent gap. This has really thrown me, can anyone help, I don't want to mess my first one up before I have even started. I plan to have 2 x track 1x frog wires through table into 8 bay terminal block, going out to tortoise motors. But now I am like 'have I bought the wrong thing" it all made sense yesterday, until I opened the turnout packet. Thanks in advance
  3. Tomix spacing is 37mm; Peco setrack is 35mm; Kato is 33mm; and Peco 55 is 26mm. Now I know that Tomix and Peco setrack are fine for 11inch (280mm) and 12.5 inch(315mm) curves in parallel for long coaches not to hit each other, and, I know that Peco 55 spacing is probably a little narrow. But what about Kato? I am looking at variation pack V14. I have read that the spacing is a little tight for longer rolling stock to pass each other. Does anyone know if this is 'internet expert logic' or reality? In my mind, and shifting peco track a couple of millimeters in, it seems to be fine, but if anyone knows say if trains with BR mk4 or long continental coaches can pass each other with those radii and 33 track spacing, then I can probably start investing in Kato which is a lot easier to get hold of here in the UK
