My search for train watching spots turned up this nice scene at Tobu Nikko Station over the Golden Week holiday period earlier this month. 1800 series in original livery as well as the Tobu Railway Museum owned 8000 series six-car 8111 trainset. Note the approach to Nikko Station is on a 2.6% grade. A couple of wedgies (between Fujioka and Shizuwa on the Nikko Line):
