valkyriepm posted a topic in Other Hobbies: Games, Simulations, Models & Photography
Hi guys! I'm opening this topic so if there's any scale modeller beside trains we love, can post your models. If there's any existing topic please mods, merge it 😛 Well, to begin, here are the two little guys I wanted to finish so I can work on my mini layout: DC-9-32 Austral LÃneas Aereas - Hasegawa 1/200 F9F-2 Panther Armada Argentina - Hobby Boss 1/72 Martin- 59 replies

Today I did my third public event at a local hobby/pop culture store in my local mall for the 20th anniversary of the Fate/Stay Night series, compared to the last two events, this one didn't do as well as I thought it would, not as much interaction as I wanted, but got some looks, but that's all it. The thought reality of doing this type of event is having enough people to be interested, even though it wasn't Games Galore's fault, I might not display at that store until I figure out what works at that store. My next display event is at the newest anime and pop culture theme convention in my state, Aerie Con!!!

Displaying my anime postcards at the Great Basin Geek Monthly Gathering
Dillon posted a topic in Off Topic
So last week I went to another nerdy pop culture event, run by a group/club in Reno-Sparks on Facebook called the Great Basin Geeks, it's a nice place gathering they held every month with food, basically a potluck. I displayed my postcards for a couple of hours, and the members enjoyed the display of the anime postcards, I enjoyed my time as well, my next event would be a theme postcard display event about the 20th anniversary of the Fate Series Franchise. -
For context: Coffee N Comics is a coffee shop dedicated to pop culture like comics, movies, video games, anime, etc, and I did an anime postcard display event there. My first public event wasn't bad, but it wasn't good, people did come and saw the display, but I felt like there was a miscommunication with the location since they acted confused, and didn't have a table, I'm going to do this event again, but probably be more honest on the communication, but it wasn't bad. 7/10.

Hi all, it's been a while since I've been here. No layout yet, but the rolling stock keeps on coming. One of my latest acquisitions was quite lucky, especially after a first attempt at securing one on the Japanese forums but that was probably for the best as I am now in possession of a near mint MicroAce Galaxy Express 999 TV version set. The box is in excellent condition, and I believe everything is accounted for in the set. It looks amazing, and I'm blown away by the size of the mini figures too. I've yet to give the loco a run to see what running state it's in. It was bought new from the shop by the previous owner, and kept as a collector's item so I doubt it has had many runs if any at all. I am also scared to run it somewhat, but I must see it in action and when I do eventually get around to building a layout, it will grace it. I plan to test the engine this Saturday, so will probably take photos of it all on the track. I am interested in the reason why MicroAce decided to provide all 4 guns for the gun car, but I have had the idea of suspending the complete train, or having it on clear perspex to get a shot down the train with the guns posed as some sort of diorama shot.
