marknewton
In August of 2014 a new tramway started running through the Gold Coast from the Gold Coast University Hopsital near Southport to Broadbeach, a distance of almost 14 kilometres. I had to wait until this week to visit the Gold Coast and ride the trams, but it was worth the wait. Once I'm home and not faffing around trying to post with an iPad I'll put up some photos, but in the meantime here's a sample. It's my son Harry and his best mate Sebastian with one of the Flexity2 trams at the southern terminus at Broadbeach. Cheers, Mark. 6 Link to comment
katoftw
I'm 2 hours away and I haven't even rode on them yet. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
marknewton
My pleasure. When you do get down there I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It's a great little operation. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
westfalen
I'm 2 hours away and I haven't even rode on them yet. Thanks for sharing. Me too, and I'm even closer. A couple of friends and I are planning a day down the coast next month to do the trams. My sister-in-law's nephew spent a few weeks driving them but he finished up on Saturday to come back to QR driving the Westlander out of Roma. Link to comment
Mudkip Orange
I like how your standard "tram crossing" sign looks like a Melbourne W2. 1 Link to comment
marknewton
I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out! Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
