What did you order or the post deliver? (Japanese N Gauge)

Also had a shipment of bits from China.

2 LED strips, one in warm white, one in pure white. Pure white are the 2 in the back, warm white is the one in the front and looks a lot more yellow in real life. The rightmost LED on the front strip has been coated with Gallery Glass Snow White in an attempt to tone down the yellow, but it hasn't made much of a difference.

Chinese streetlights! 80 cents each. A little on the small side, and not very pretty.

I'll have to make due, though, as I bought 30 of them. And a set of park benches which are likely oversized.

Received the M250 add on - WOW!  it's a "Huge" train now.  The new color EF200 arrived with the Sapporo beer Hoki's.  More double straight viaduct track plus piers.

I just bought some new Tomix pantographs for my Micro Ace JR Kyushu 813 100-500, as well as some Tomix track cleaning fluid, and 2 sets of Tomix 6 pack Overhead Wire sets for my Shinkansens...

Big order part II

Rainbow Ten, Plaza Japan, and Hobby Search showed up all at once today.

1) Track for on and around my Viaduct Station.

2) Bits and pieces to complement the basic Viaduct Station kit.

3) Tomix buildings. I wanted 2 condos the same colour, though.

4) Now that I have the Tomytec bus system, I need a bus station to go with it. And the 4th Kato Diotown tower came, finally!

5) So I have a complete set...

6) Greenmax stuff. 2 boxes of gates and walls, 1 of trackside equipment, 1 of signals, 2 of the big business building boxes, and an extra 46-4 for me to practice on.

That'll be the last of the major pieces for a while, although I may change my t-trak layout from using Kato's original overhead station to an all viaduct and concrete Viaduct station.

Just ordered Micro-Ace C11 207 and "SL Suzuran" cars from HS. I rode behind 207 in the snow in 2006 so I couldn't resist, I'll work out how its going to share a layout with the "Paleo Express" later. :grin

Received a whole bunch of stuff from Popondetta!

Tomix EF66+Wamu38000.

Used (but looked perfectly brand new with no wear on any of the wheels) Kato E2-1000 6+4 set.

A comment about both:

Tomix set - I was so angry at the way they packaged it. Which was including the EF66 in a separate jewel case that sits atop the other 2 cases. This makes the box taller than the rest of their sets, which means it doesn't fit inside some of my shelves!!! Arrrggghh!! There appeared to be more than enough room to house the EF66 in the WAMU cases but it looks like they didnt feel like milling out a different styrofoam insert or something. I don't know. In any case, very peeved.

Kato E2-1000 - OK I think I know why Kato went to the single piece nose coupler a la Tomix when they released the E5. My god is it ever fiddly! Even if the Kato one looks better, I think I prefer the simplicity of the Tomix system (although I can't seem to get the nose coupler on the 400 series set to stay on LOL).

Just picked up my Kato/Roundhouse Paleo Express from the post office, nice looking train as I rode it the second time in 2006 with the bonus of a C58 which otherwise isn't available at the moment. I wouldn't have minded the circa 1990 version when the loco had gold lining and dinosaur logo but the plain black C58 will do double duty on a steam era layout.

Was it re-released, or did you find an older version? If it WAS re-released, does the new version still have the very visible wires running from loco to tender? =)

It's a lovely set either way, runs nice too :)

Didn't order it but bought at a local hobby store. I had an eye on this model since some times but when I saw the other day that they had it, I just couldn't resist more than a few day before coming back and take it! :-D

A mythic Swiss railcar: RBe 2/4 "Red Arrow" by Hobbytrain in a nice silver box.

I didn't run it yet but god it looks gorgeous and finely detailed!

I wish we had a hobby store that carried things like that -- nice find!
