Received 2 more #23-019 50mm double track concrete pier sets (12), 2 more Kato #20-401 248mm double track straight via duct (4), 1 Tomix #3508 fork lifts (2), and my last order from HW Japan  arrived - the Greenmax #308 Moha 11- Kumoha 12040 kit and the Tomix #0224 PS13 pans.

Oh no...I REALLY don't need to see any more cool locos that I want to buy!    I'm really tempted by that Blue Tiger...and I love it in the orange colors. Very cool.

I originally picked up my Mehano Blue Tiger (shown in the top photo) for £112 including P&P to the UK. You can get yours from here for £84.95 plus P&P as he has reduced the prices but be quick though as he only has two left and three have already been sold. The model is DCC ready as its got a 6-pin decoder socket! . I am getting 2 more Blue Tiger locos in the OHE and the ITL liveries next as they are my favourite Diesel Locomotives.

So, my order of scenic stuff from the eBay store with the confidence-inspiring name of "Wehonest_cn" came in. In addition to 2 rolls of grass turf-sheet and some water-textured clear sheets, I got 200 1.8mm LEDS, ~500 trees and 600 little people, ready to fill in background scenes.

 

I sometimes forget what scale I'm modelling in. The shipment came in a rather large box, filled with grass and trees. After going through it, I couldn't find the LEDs or people - I'd thought they'd forgotten to pack them. Then I came across a little box that I'd mistaken as part of the packaging and thought "You can't possible fit all those LEDs and figures in *there*. Uhh.... Yeah, actually. 600 people is 6 tiny little bags :) It makes me feel like I"m going to need to order a bunch more....

 

My big order from Hobby Search has "been processed" at the local depot, so I should have it tomorrow.

Pict #3 - There's a slight packaging size discrepancy with these car collections. After wards I put all 24 of them in one of the boxed :P

Just my opinion

True the figures are very basic but if you want to populate streets or platforms and want large numbers they are cheap. I shall be dismembering some of the ones I've got to put inside my double deck tram. Also saves having to buy a box of Preiser figures and then having to paint them  all.

My order of a few lengths of Kato Unitrack and a power pack was just delivered - it took 8 weeks to arrive from the German importer Noch. Assembling a loop of track and hooking up the power pack was a matter of minutes and now my D51 498 is circling the track. Feels good to be back in business gain.

New shipment came in today from Hobby Search. This was the SAL shipped "fill-in" shipment that covered items from my big Rainbow Ten shipment. Oddly enough, I received this only a couple of days after Rainbow Ten gave me a shipment notice!

 

Pictures 1-4:

20 boxes of Tomytec figures to populate the foreground of the layout, wherever the Chinese figures won't cut it.

 

Picture 5:

2 right hand finetrack switches, because Rainbow Ten didn't have them, a used car lot that was on sale, and an Island platform that I accidentally purchased as a duplicate, forgetting I already had the platforms :(

 

Picture 6-7:

JR Series 14-700 Super Express Rainbow (7-Car Set). Horribly un-prototypical, but I wanted something interesting to pull behind my EH200 "Blue Thunder" locomotive.
