I don't want to sound silly but I made an order through Hobby Search just few days ago and the news that come to Italy about radioactivity even in Tokio aren't encouraging...are these stuffs from Japan safe? I would hate to miss my "Railway Collection #8"

I just made the payment on my Kato E5 and Tomytec bus system.  I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with the bus system, maybe use it in a small loop around my urban station; maybe something else. But I just couldn't pass it by.

Great day from USPS -

Received the Kato 10-228 M250 8 car add on, Kato 3036-1 EF200 - new JRF color, Micro Ace A6851 and A6852 -2 each Sapporo beer Hoki's,Old and New Mark, Kato 701 DD13, Tomix 2206 - DE15 (blue and white) and plows, Kato 20-220 #4 LH switch, and a really neat Micro Ace (9)233 Type Kansai Denryoku Railway - free lanced - Toyama Rocal Railway - blue electric 3 axle type switcher won on ebay.  Pan was broken but replaced with a Greenmax PT43N.  Didn't run at first, but a little tweaking and she runs like a "bandit" now.  Never saw one like this before.

I have some interest, but I'm going to take a wait and see approach. I think it will likely appear in the US soon enough, which will greatly reduce the shipping cost.

A little over 5 weeks ago, I ordered some Kato Uni-Track and a power pack from the German importer of Kato products. 2 days i received an email, that my order might be shipped in about two weeks time. That´ll make 8 weeks from order to delivery. How come HS is able to ship my order within 4 days to my doorstep?

My Kato model of EF81 95 just arrived. It looks good, but it has a broken pantograph. Anybody know how I can get a replacement without ordering a tiny part from Japan?

Did you buy it used or new? If new from HS or similar, contact them for a replacement.

 

If not then I think it will be pretty tough to find a replacement. Or try contacting Kato USA but still won't be cheap.

It's used. But I think it just got handled roughly in transit--the middle truck had come loose, too, but that was an easy fix. OTOH, the endmost pins for the other pantograph were in the other holes.

I am quite aware of that, but why the h... did it take them 5 weeks to tell me that the shipment will be delayed? Their web page did not give a hint to products not being available. This is bad customer service and I do not think I will be doing business with them in the future - I´d rather buy directly in Japan.

if you need only the musem head car 4076-9 released the past year, is still available at Rainbowten, the complete set 10-129 I think is "a little bit" impossible, they are over 10 years that Kato don't re-release this set and the add-on single cars. (all removed from the last catalog)
