cteno4
Keitaro, bummer! what is the tree factory? would be good to do a thread on this and show the results and where you got them, to let folks know whats up. ive gotten a number of the trees from chinese sellers on ebay and those have all come with each set in separate bubble wrap bags in the box so no cross pollination and none stuck together. just a little teasing apart w/o damage really. cheers jeff Link to comment
keitaro
http://www.themodeltreeshop.co.uk/ while the trees do look nice the way it was packaged ruined them just spent 2 hours with tweezers trying to fix em up look much better now. i sent a suggestion email that they should be packaged better next time, they replied with a email appolgising that it had happened so not too bad. Guest ___
Got a Euroliner set and a hot spring tomytech on order. Saddest part that made me cringe today was the checkout with PP to see the rate of exchange was $1.oo : ¥79.96 Looking at XE this morning they had it showing $1.oo : ¥79.99 and Forex was showing $1.oo : ¥80.07 I feared logging on to MasterCard to see what they had listed. cteno4
DD53 snow plow finally showed up! yaaaaaaaaa! while the snow blower blades dont spin, it looks like it could be driven with a small belt and little motor! would need a 90 degree power shift to drive it. guess im love my MA rotary that spins! thats easier to drive! cheers jeff Link to comment

Nozomi4ever
Here 's what I ordered.. (HAG , much better than Marklin ) (With Loksound V3.5 , interior lighting and 15 functions and of course good quality control and made in Switzerland with very high quality items being produced)(AFAIK , they cost the price of three Lemke TGV Duplex with interior lights to really match the price of this train!! ) HAG GTW 2/8 in Thurbo SBB livery (Alternative version of stadler Flirt ) This company is relatively unknown , but mind you , the items are very limited (100-300 pieces per item) http://www.hag.ch/ Link to comment
cteno4
What do you use for snow? Rich K. thats the dilemma for me as i just love snow plows (and odd equipment like mow, etc) but loathe the thought of ever trying to create a snow scene and what it could do the engines! current feeling is just having an interesting MOW storage area on the eventual layout to display them! but then i cant show off the MA functioning rotary plow, now that would be fun plowing into a pile of baby powder! perhaps i can do a train day exhibition and they are showing off the rotary plow in july... jeff Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
Model snow has some problems.. The good stuff is usually some sort of powder, which obviously isn't healthy.. I mean, we spend a lot of time trying to get rid of dust from the layout, so tossing on some powder seems silly ;) The more permanent, solid stuff (can be special paints, or some sort of powdery substance that you need to glue on for example) starts yellowing pretty quick. It does look amazing when it's all fresh and white though. Link to comment
Mudkip Orange
2x Greenmax truss bridges. This is my first attempting assembling Greenmax kits. I hope to gain some familiarity with them prior to assembling a full train. Link to comment
disturbman
This is my first attempting assembling Greenmax kits. I hope to gain some familiarity with them prior to assembling a full train. Greenmax train are way (and I mean WAY) easier to assemble than their regular building kit. The only trickiest part are the windows and doors located at the end of the carriages. 1 Link to comment
scott
Just ordered 10 buses for the layout--5 Niigata and 5 Iwate. So I'm stretching the geography beyond reason.... Link to comment
Mudkip Orange
I wouldn't know, I've always shipped EMS. Last order was 2560 JPY for the bridges, 2800 for the shipping. And the LHS has Atlas trusses for $6 and Kato ones for $14. But, mastery of Greenmax building kits is a necessary prerequisite for the layout I want. Might as well start now. Link to comment

The snow on the Aizu Wakamatsu webcam at the moment looks to me like a pile of icing sugar, not sure that would be good in loco mechanisms either. Link to comment
worldflyer
Since I got started in this hobby, checking tracking number and looking at my doorstep when I get home from work has become second nature Nearly all the items I've gotten so far have been sourced from eBay or at MBKlein's site. Other than a few misc supplies from the local hobby shop, I've gotten everything online. I have yet to try shopping from Japan, with shipping costs a bit of a turn off for me so I try to see if I can find an item from a US seller. Anyway, the last major piece (for now) of my layout comes today after being delayed due to Winter Storms on the East Coast/Midwest...my Kato V13 double elevated viaduct set!!! Then my Kato Amtrak Superliner car set (sans locomotive for now) sometime next week. Link to comment
scott
Today's eBay arrivals--a Green Max station kit (#24) and two Tomix/Tomytec buildings--a house with outbuildings and a corner store. A couple of European buildings also arrived, but now that The Great Decision has been reached, they'll have to wait for a later layout. 1 Link to comment

Also received another Kato #23-019 50mm double track pier set for the Viaduct. The CC bill came also - if I was married - I'd be homeless! Rich C Link to comment

Hope so, looks very cool They go to "sold out" status the moment an order is placed that takes the last one, but unless you're very unlucky, it was probably your order that did that. I've had that happen to me a number of times, and all but once I received the model. The one time I did not I received a very apologetic email that it had unexpectedly sold out. Link to comment

It took them well over a year to finally get the KiHa110 I ordered off them...by which time I had given up and already bought two from HS. I have also been told to forget about the H0 DE10 I ordered... Link to comment
