The DE10 came out today and I'm trying to keep the cost of my bulk order from Japan down. I already have a rake of Wamu380000s and an EH500 on my list without you stirring up the pot. Link to comment

Martijn Meerts
Just ordered 2 World Craft kits, an EF53 IV late model/post war, and a Chōshi Electric Railway Yu101 open car. Also order a bunch of Tomix TN couplers to replace the ugly Rapido's that are still on pretty much all my Tomix rolling stock. They're the truck mount type, not body mount. 1 set of regular ones, and 1 set of magnetic ones. And ordered the 2010-2011 Tomix catalogue and 2010-2011 Tomix Parts Catalogue. I figured I'd be paying a ton in shipping already anyway, might as well add those ;) Oh, and I pre-order a J.N.R. Suyu37 Mail Coach, also a World Craft kit. Now, I really hope no really cool new items will be announced anytime soon, otherwise my bank account will be filing for divorce or something... Link to comment
quinntopia
I just ordered two of the Tomix high rise structures for a project that I have in mind, and 12 (yikes!) of the Greenmax office building modular kits for another building project! Exciting projects, but my oh my, I hear Martijn on the shipping...I hope I don't need anything more from Japan until next Fall! Link to comment
keitaro
I just ordered electric switch upgrades and an electric switch with some tomy building kits. On sal the economy mail it says 2 - 4 weeks is this accurate or are they over estimating so people don't complain. I just don't see economy mail taking that long from jpn to aus. But hey maybe it does. Link to comment
cteno4
Keitaro, its more of just waiting till they have room on the plane to ship it with SAL. sometimes it gets on a plane right away and is here in less than a week and sometimes 2-3 weeks. then here in the us it ships as parcel post the rest of the way which can vary a lot here as well... so its not a matter of the distance, but of the timing with air freight space. cheers jeff Link to comment
sedril
Just ordered 12 Kato LED light sets (2 packages of 6) For my N700 & Sakura Passenger set ( http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10011243 ... well, when it gets here... ) That and a B'mann 4-8-2 Heavy Mountain, but it's not Japanese. Link to comment
traindork
Got the 2011 Kato catalog today from Plaza Japan as my first overseas order. Just testing the waters, I guess. But now I see that the water's fine! I just hope I can keep it under control, there's tons of stuff I've wanted to order for a long time. Link to comment
KenS
I don't plan ahead very well. I had my xmas spending on the credit card all paid off, and it was time for a "me" present. and so, despite knowing I had a January pre-order queued up (and there's not much "January" left), I put in a big order for a couple of locos (Kato's EF65 JRF Color and EF66 First Version), a bunch of blue WAMUs (multiple Kato 8033 sets), along with a bunch of buildings and miscellaneous small stuff. And simultaneously received the notice that my Kato Series E217 had arrived (the full 15-car collection of sets), and a combined payment request for both. Ouch. Oh well, it's been at least a couple of months since I did something stupid. I was about due. Link to comment

Sir Madog
Just a couple of days ago, my first Japanese prototype steamer was delivered: It took 4 days from Japan to my door step - much faster than our domestic mail service! Link to comment

David
Waiting for payment request for DE10 JRF scheme from Tomix EH500 from Kato 6 (x2) Wamu 380000 from Kato This is likely going to be it from Japan for a few months, unless those Mitsubishi Taki 1900 cars convince me I need another cement unit train (I'm going to have more freight trains then passenger). Nick_Burman
Decided to take the definitive plunge into Japanese N scale. Have to take it lightly for now as I'm out of a job, so at this time it will be mainly finishing powering and adding pans and MT couplers to Tomytec Tetsudo Collection stuff I have. I also had the luck of finding a complete Tetsudo Collection #2 10-car set in a Ebay store - there goes a chunk of my benefit! But damn, me lo merito! (I deserve it) as the Italians say. This means that I'll have nearly (Mule #2 is missing, so is the Kodansha car - more on this later) all the "freelance" cars ("Tomii Tetsudo") for my private railway, plus two more goods wagons. I won't want the whole collection, just the "freelance" equipment (maybe another car or two), so if anyone wants the rest please feel free to get in touch with me. I'm also looking for the Kodansha car - the one that Tomytec made for that layout that Kodansha serialized and sold in newsagents in Japan some time ago. Several Ebay stores in HK had them in vasts quantities for peanuts, but I failed to act and now no go. Anyone has one to spare or could point me the way to one? Cheers NB Link to comment
Nick_Burman
Just to show I'm not biased toward any particular country I've got one of these on the way. Now that I'm reading all the back messages that I see this beauty... I remember seeing it at the Science Museum in London, what a marvellous locomotive... Cheers NB Link to comment
