bill937ca
Early start on a nourishing day for our natural environment (dull, gray rainy day). A small HS order precipitated by the restocking of Tomix PT-7113D tram & train pantographs. Also included are a couple of Tomytec suburban houses, Kato 24-081 summer trees, and Tomytec vending machines. Edited May 28, 2019 by bill937ca 5 Link to comment
Nick_Burman
I've just sold my Micro-Ace Ohmi Tetsudo ED14 and have ordered a Tomytec one to replace it. It might sound like downgrade, however given the fact that the M-A version was waaay too long in relation to the real loco and the Tomytec one seems to be scale length. Also ordered pans and mech to match. Especially interested in the mech as it might have HOn30 applications. Cheers NB Link to comment

Ultratram
MoI found the greenmax secret stash on ebay. I was excited just for keikyu 1500 prepainted kit alone. 6 kits with motors, 14 kits total (pictures later. There is a hakone tozan kit and a komuya 143 kit that will be fun builds. Some kits I will need to buy bogies when available but what a deal. Under 200 USD! There is only one kit I am having trouble identifying. A white and red train 8085. Thought it's a keio or tokyu? I will show off the collection when it arrives 3 Link to comment

Pashina12
In addition to the box of OneMile Wa10000s, I got some other things, too. A pack of Japanese roof time sheets, buffer stops, and six plate girder bridges, a Tomytec house, a laser cut shrine kit, and another book - this one a collection of various JNR official drawings. 3 Link to comment
defor
Been adding to my growing Kiha 100 series fleet: Found this lovely alternate livery Kiha110 and just had to add it to my collection- Does anyone have any further info about this model? I can't find anything about it! 岩倉高等学校 鉄道模型部 (Iwakura Senior High School Model Train Club) 平成25年度 卒業記念車輌 (2013 graduation commemorative vehicle?) 10 Link to comment
JR 500系
That is seriously one good looking Kiha! Good find! The white and pink is lovely! Is it a fiction livery? Link to comment

Iwakura High School is a vocational high school located in Ueno, that teaches (besides the standard national program of Japanesen, English, Literaure...) railway-related subjects. Besides the standard clubs found in most high schools (music, sports...) they also have a Model Railway Club. Seemingly, this either is (one of many) repainted models made by the club students or a gift directly from Kato themselves. Official school website 2 Link to comment

Rather than the usual, Football, Rugby and drama. Link to comment

Yeah, after looking up the information about the school-it was obvious that was related to the club-the paint job on it appears to be factory, and the box/Case has the writing on it shown also from factory, so I suppose it’s a Kato gift or commission. I suppose my main question originally was simply was this like a gift for the graduation of the whole class or just the club... Link to comment

Drunkenclam
Hooray. I got my box. My second 211 city liner to run on the viaduct track. Along with some signals and the 3 boxs of 3 of 3 track overhead wire masts. Then one for the collection. A Dragonball cel. I believe this one is from episode 8 The signals are pre wired with a resistor on a + common. I got 3x 2 aspect and 6x 3 aspect. Will need to change the resistor to suit a 5v supply instead of 12. 5 Link to comment

Drunkenclam
I got them off YJA. But they do say made in China. They come in packs of 3 for about ¥1700 a pack. 1 1 Link to comment

Nevertheless it really is VERY nicely made... I am guessing it's from Yahoo Auctions? I would love to try my hand at some fictional livery but I lack the skills to do a good job and will only ruin the whole thing... Link to comment

Purely on the basis that if you were part of the model train club at school and got a very limited run model to mark your graduation, surely that would be the absolute last thing you'd part with? I'd have disposed of every other model before letting that go. 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Havent been updating for a while so here goes: The Kanto bus set, and the Kiha-185 Kyushu Oden Tokkyu… It's quite a lovely red! Next is the Echigo TOKImeki Railway [3 Cities Flowers] (ET122-8). Love the flowers livery on this train! A lot of misc. parts, a Kiha-110 add-on set, and some urethane for better housing of trains And finally, more buses! I think I should make a bus count soon... I'm starting to forget what I have and what I don't... 11 Link to comment
Ultratram
So my mega greenmax kit ebay find arrived today. When I saw the listing I was excited for the keikyu 1500 series. But there is so much good stuff in this lot. The kits grouped on the left all have motors, the right side is all economy kits. I will be slowly ordering the bogies for the economy kits when I find them in stock. I really like these older kits since they include sticker and decal sheets. I plan on starting a post in Projects where I will make a log of the progress from this lot. I just finished my JNR 155 series economy kit so i will be free to jump into building the keikyu 1500! 13 Link to comment

Welshbloke
Their KuMoYas can use Kato Shibata couplers. Makes it much easier to couple a few random spare EMU vehicles between them. 1 Link to comment
