Samurai_Chris
Today I picked up my Kyushu Railway Micro Ace 813 100+500 that I ordered, as well as an old station house, and platform, and a few extra pieces of Tomix Fine Track... Chris Link to comment
cteno4
Something tells me if I got her a train for our annersevesary I might get a lump of coal... Jeff Hey congrats to you guys! Think you got a keeper there! Exchanging trains for an anniversary, what a concept!!! Cheers Jeff Jeff - do you think we can convince our wives to do the same?..........I don't think so. :crybaby2: Link to comment
David
Something tells me if I got her a train for our annersevesary I might get a lump of coal... The Woodland Scenics coal or have you asked her for a different brand? The WS coal is not bad, but unfortunately it's another "HO/N" scale item from them, meaning it's really overscale for N, unless you want sack sized 50 lbs blocks of coal in your hopper. I have the smaller package (a gift from myself) but I haven't got around to using some card stock and glue to make replacement loads for my Microace Hora cars. Link to comment

ToniBabelony
The unpainted powered Hakone Tozan models arrived, too. The seller had said they thought the power units were Kato, but in fact they say Tomix 2620. That seems to be the model number of one of the Tomix "Bernina" sets, but how the power units from those sets got to be in a couple of what appear to be Greenmax 605 "Moha 1 + Moha 2" sets I'm not sure. Makes me wonder how these units also are used for the Keihan Type 500 (600) (completely false under-bodywork) and more important: the Enoden Type 1000! This is a train with 3 bogies (the middle one a Jacobs-bogie), but the Bernina has 4 bogies. A complete mystery. Link to comment
Nozomi
E2-0 Shinkansen 'Asama' from TOMIX. Fantastic runner but not as fast as my N700-3000 from TOMIX. Link to comment

Doh! I just took the chance and went for it without seeing a photo, especially considering the price (I haven't ordered replacement trucks/pantographs/powered unit/etc yet), and I was expecting it to sell rather well. I've had it on pre-order since the day it became available for pre-order on HS =) Link to comment
Martijn Meerts
Just ordered an ESU LokPilot Servo decoder, ESU LokPilot Extension, ESU LokPilot Micro multiprotocol (for my father mainly) and 5x Lenz Silver mini + .. I also still have about 12 Peco turnouts and some more packages of Peco flex track on order. (This means the JR-Chiisai modules should finally get started soon =)) Link to comment
Darklighter
I finally got sick of the never-ending layout planning and ordered the Kato Unitrack variation sets V11 and V3 for a temporary floor layout. 2x V1 and V7 are next. Link to comment
Bernard
You can always include the V1 & V7 into you track planning design. Also track planning never ends, even after you finish designing a layout and building it, one day you'll say, "Hey why don't I build another line that runs on the east side of the layout....." On my current layout I've already have done that 4 times. The truth is you never finish a layout, you always want to add something else to it. Have fun running trains and by watching them go it might give you some ideas. nik_n_dad
I finally got sick of the never-ending layout planning and ordered I am perpetually working on Nik's layout, it seems. I suspect he'll go to college, and I'll still be working on one of our layouts...or I'll still be getting (backordered) packages when they put me in the home.... Link to comment

Yeah, I seem to always have something or the other on order too =) My Peco track arrived today, so I can start my storage yard. Already noticed some minor problems though, I'll probably have to adjust all the turnouts to make it all fit =) Link to comment
cteno4
I succumbed last night to the Kiha48 Resort Shirakami Kumagera Formation (3-Car Set). just too unique looking. horrible cost with where the dollar is, but this is one of the few trains that have grabbed my eye recently so i thought i would splurge... http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10112646 cheers jeff Link to comment
marknewton
Ordered this loco tonight. I don't really need it, it's hard to justify having it on a Hokuriku-based layout, but... I've always been very partial to C58s, so I got one! Cheers, Mark. Link to comment

marknewton
OK, Bernard, you've convinced me! Joking aside, I think now that I can justify having a C58 on the layout, as I found some photos of them running around Toyama in the late 1960s. That's good enough for me. And if I'm going to have a steam loco, it may as well be a good quality model like this. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
Mark, I'm sure you won't regret it. I have the Hokkaido version with the conventional (squarish) tender and plateframe bogies. Of course, the C58 type spent its last days up here, in Eastern Hokkaido in the early to mid 70's, even hauling the night express "Taisetsu" on its last leg from Kitami to Abashiri- quite a sight: 1 Link to comment
