That's a bummer Bill, hope it turns up,

I recently had a package (Amazon) show as delivered signed by "front Door". Turned up in the mail box a day later. Go figure....

Two EMS orders from Hobby Search.  One arrived and was held at the post office. The tracking marks the bigger order as delivered but not to me, without a signature and is missing. This has never happened before.  I've searched around the building, but no sign of it.  I'll report it to Hobby Search tomorrow (per Canada Post instructions) but there won't be any action until they get back from Winter Holiday in 2017. Smaller order is a couple of Tomytec items and some items from the tools section.  Bigger order was Tomix track to finish the layout and 3 B-Train Shorty boxes plus a book.

To my great relief, my missing order showed up on the tracking again today after being delivered to the wrong person and signed for on Friday by the wrong person! I scooted down to the post office and picked up my box a couple of hours ago.The box is fine and everything is in order. WHEW!  :toothy10:  :toothy10:  :toothy10:  Now to finish the track on my layout, probably Thursday morning.

The Post just delivered my Christmas present to myself.

Tomix 169 Series 3 car set decorated for Shinano Railway in their red and silver scheme.  Surprised how fast it got here, and for only $3.99 shipping.  Ordered it on Amazon right after Christmas and got here in 10 days.

Kumoni 143-5 and Kumoha 123-5 by Tomytec arrived, along with a Saro 163 and the two Kumoyuni 82-800s by Kato. I've modified the skirts on the Kumoni to attach them to coupler mounts, so when the motorised chassis arrives it can run solo or tow unpowered EMUs. Waiting for Kumoyuni 147-1 which will also be motorised, 123-5 will get the same treatment when the Tomix pantographs come back into stock (as I'd rather bundle an order of those with the final chassis I need).

And I think I've bagged a powered Kato Kumoya 90 after much searching, as long as the ebay seller actually has them in stock. I've a horrible feeling that I tried to buy something from them last year and it turned out they didn't have one to sell, despite having listed. See what turns up in my inbox!

Might do a thread about my growing collection of post/luggage units if anyone's interested, I also have the Greenmax kit for a Kumoni 83 on the way.

The 189 series M50 looks great! The colour is nice, and the exchangeable headmark is fun! Basically any trains running on the Chuo line always appeals to me...

post-819-0-05437900-1483662937_thumb.jpg

As a HG set, the TN couplers are very much welcomed, and they come with a ton of parts to install on the train...

The Yellow Arakawa line is so cute! Glad this was on sale and decided to grab it quick!

The other box contains the E653-1000 Inaho, which was really expensive but very nice... and the Tomytec tent on sale and Kato road signs

post-819-0-03781300-1483663053_thumb.jpg

E653-1000 Inaho colours really appeals! The bright lines and orange background just works for me!

This newer model has headmark already printed!

Finally I have the E653-1000 Inaho!   :)

The holidays brought a few goodies to the layout. (Definitely a work in progress).

Anyways, a couple people were listening in to my interest with the TGV duplex new color, definitely love this paint scheme and glad that I have added these to my collection.

Other family members were listening in on my request for domestic Amtrak equipment, and even a special one ;)

I've wanted the veterans P42 for a while now, so I got the Amtrak starter set and now the veterans P42 by Kato, which I might add is a stunning paint scheme!

A lovely pair of TGV Duplexes.  Have you coupled the two consists together yet?  The noses on the latest Kato TGVs (Duplex Carmillon color and Lyria) seem somewhat annoying to remove.

Not yet! I'm afraid to, just as I'm afraid to couple the individual cars together haha

Well this is what turned up today:
post-4306-0-91035400-1483695420_thumb.jpg

So I then decided to run a small freight train post-4306-0-74739400-1483695446_thumb.jpg

Running a mixed Koki-Hoki consist is a tad too long for this track arrangement.

Just a quick query, is the Kato DD13 meant to have operating red lights to go with the directional headlights?

Happy New Year to all,

Recently I just had the TOMIX 300-0系 Shinkansen (full set) came in from Japan on a SAL Parcel shipment, I now have the TOMIX 2016-2017 and KATO 2017 catalogue with the TOMIX Thomas the Tank Engine set been shipped out, while I have The Bus Collection Nagasaki Station Terminal Set x2, J.R. Electric Locomotive Type EF81 (EF81-95/`Rainbow ` B) and J.R. Type KAYA27-500 Power Source Car `Cassiopeia` (w/Motor) getting ready to be shipped out.

An early start for 2017 ordering and buying, but now need to look at more module building and layout designing.

Mine was in a monthly order so I had to wait till the Winter break is over before they could ship it out. I only need the EF81-95 ('Rainbow B') as an addition to my Locomotive fleet and hoping to get a rainbow set in the future. I only need the KAYA27-500 as an extra to my already Cassiopeia set. So I'm looking forward to getting these :)

Nice photo of your recent arrival.

Got me the Tomix 92470 and Tomix 92471 Series 2100 Nagano Railway Limited Express "Snow Monkey" Unit E1 and E2 New Color.  Actually got 2 of the 92470 and used one as a motor donor for my Tomix 92051.

This is one of my favorite train designs and livery.

1954G, actually all I did was swap the the motor units.  My saying "motor donor" made it seem like I pulled the motor from the 2100 and replaced the 253's.  Oh no, I don't have the capability nor the desire to do that. :) But thanks and agree it would be much more cost effective to just order the motor.

Ordered a Piko Dutch 1200 series locomotive. Couldn't resist any longer, still one of my all time favourite locomotives, saw a LOT of them when growing up.

I went with the grey/yellow version, since that's the one I saw the most, but I'll likely get the blue version at some point as well. Possibly also a 2nd grey/yellow one, considering they announced another of them with a different running number.

Piko models sure a bit on the pricy side compared to other German manufacturers. But I have a Piko DR BR 218 and the money is sure worth it.

Yeah, they're not the cheapest, but the other Piko I have does run well.

Their 1200 looks a LOT better than the Minitrix 1200 though, and hopefully it runs well. I should hopefully get it Tuesday or Wednesday, about the same time as I should be getting the decoder to go in there :D
