Got given this as a present, the detail looks amazing, pretty sure it isn't N scale haha but a nice model none the less.

A big thanks to serotta1972, I picked up a Tomix 92467 Series 183-1000 `Azusa` and Tomix 92849 Series 583 `Kitaguni` from him today.  While a long time Kato fan, the quality of Tomix's High Grade sets is amazing, and I can see quite a few being added to my collection in the future.

Well curse you, I just had to go and look on Yahoo for something to keep my E353 company...

Nice pics Kiha66 and those trains go nicely with the rural station platforms.

Sorry, E351. The package from the future hasn't arrived yet.

351 series? There's quite a large available fleet to go around with it, like the 183 M50 formation, E233-0 Chuo line, E257 series etc. ~

This region has always been one of my favorites, like the Hachioji diorama, where Yokohama line and Hachiko line intersect.

Well as Mitaka is literally down the road from Chez Squid, it's a natural choice... ;)

That's sweet! You can include the Sobu line since it's the terminal stop!  ;)

Oh, don't get me started. I've been interested in the Chuo Main Line for ages, and having been on a few sections of the line in the Tokyo area and in Hachioji, the urge the get rolling stock of this line has been increasing already plenty enough.

And Tokyo Metro... and even the 253 N'EX series for a certain time period... well not that I'm intending to model Mitaka in particular, but I can pretend my elevated station and track are a generic section of the Chuo line somewhere...

Et voila, the MicroAce 183-1000 (A-0585), in new condition at a very bargain price. Probably not quite as nice as the Tomix but looks fine to me, seen here maybe at some point in the 1990s or early 2000s?

Wow... that purchase is FAST! one of the perks of living in Japan again...

Chuo line is probably my favorite line of all times... it has so much rolling stock that I love on it; 351, 353, 233-0, 231-500 E257 etc... I like it so much I kept running the Chuo line back in Densha de go final, trying to ace that 115 series route....

I think you're forgetting the 201 series in orange (and yellow if you want to include the Chuo-Sobu Line as well). ;)

103, 101, 72 ... and if you're including the Chuo-Sobu line then I guess everything which ran through from the Tozai Line... JNR 301 anyone? :D

A great range of layouts but seriously lacking anything Japanese again. Still some great examples of modelling excellence. Shame to find that Modelbahn Union no longer carry any Japanese stock but some good traders selling American Kato stock at reasonable prices. The usual over-priced offering from Gaugemaster who really need to learn to be more competitive as they've had the same Japanese stock for some time.

I picked up a Kato GG1 in the PRR 5 Stripe livery and a Dapol Terrier 0-6-0 which I have admired for a while. The GG1 runs as you would expect from Kato. As it was 2nd hand, I got it for a steal and it's like its never been out of the box.

The Dapol Terrier (bought new) is a stunning model with exquisite detail. For such a small model it is beautifully modelled considering its almost half the size of my Kato C12. This certainly would've been a great advertisement for British N Gauge had the mechanism not been so tempermental. It runs ok but is very jumpy at low speeds, perhaps due to its weight. Despite plenty of running in and oiling as per manufacturers instructions it is a bit disappointing that it isn't smoother.  It has been said before, but we are spoilt with the quality and reliability of the Japanese stock.

Got 2 parcels delivered over last week...

1st is an order from Ami, combined with their sales items. The flexibility of Ami to allow combining items as long as they are in the same month is great sometimes, so I can grab sales items quickly when I see them and wait for the rest of the items to come in that month.

Love all they always place decal sheets into a nice thick hard cardboard for protection!

Some trams in the sales bin... These look really nice with their triple articulated bodies!

The grass tram tracks set... but it seemed that the basic tram track set, the one with the concrete brick base, got delayed...

Another parcel in, with more buses (but this time Popondetta diecast ones) and a nice rare Modemo 'Police' Randen Tram¬
