cteno4
For like 2-5kg EMS was cheaper than SAL (might have changed with EMS increase), then SAL got cheaper than EMS. It was odd. I looked at it last month and there there seemed to be some changes in Sal parcel. Jeff Link to comment
beakaboy
small order received from AmiAmi today. Love those Tomix hopper wagons. The Shell Station was only 960yen as there was package damage, but I can't see anything obvious. Edited June 28, 2016 by beakaboy 3 Link to comment
katoftw
400 yen discount of a bit of the edges of the box being scraped is good. You don use the box on your layout. Link to comment

The item with good box is currently listed at 1760yen on their site :) I must admit Tomix have kept packaging size down for this model. I purchased the Kato bus station with bus and buildings recently from a local trader and the box is huge. The Price you pay for ready made items, I guess. Link to comment
Eurostar25
Picked up the Kato Cassiopeia set off Buyee - my first purchase from them. I won the auction for ¥5000 On top of that there was the ¥200 service fee, ¥250 payment fee Then domestic shipping of ¥600 and tax of ¥400, the registered SAL to New Zealand for ¥1190 Total cost was ¥7640. These have been on HobbySearch for ¥13320 Pretty happy with the win, it took a while from the auction closing to the item arriving but the saving was considerable so I'm pleased with the end result. 5 Link to comment
Robert46
A box came in from HS today... Talk about fast! EMS sent on Friday, left Japan on Sat, arrived Sing on Sunday and delivered on Monday morning! Wow.. those are just impressive items... Just knew the F-Toys also produced vehicles.. so far I know they only make planes.. had to admit detail quality is still below tomytec.. is that 1/150 or 1/160? Link to comment

JR 500系
Total cost was ¥7640. Great deal! Very worthy for keepstake, the Cassiopeia is.... Buyee was also pleasant to work with and all fees are transparent.. Wow.. those are just impressive items... Just knew the F-Toys also produced vehicles.. so far I know they only make planes.. had to admit detail quality is still below tomytec.. is that 1/150 or 1/160? Yap you are right Robert. They mainly produce 1/144 planes and did only one type of road vehicles I think, the 1/150 scale working vehicles set: The really nice ones are the buses, but I missed all of them out... :( 2 Link to comment

JR 500系
With this post, I would like to thank Jeff aka cteno4 again for giving a headsup on the sale @ HLJ ~ The Romance car MSE 60000 has been safely shipped to Takahashi town! HLJ even has their own boxes! Sweet! Not the best of packing.... Nice plastic wrap and hard board for the rear... This makes me think HLJ is experienced at handling magazines.... FINALLY! A MSE 60000 for my town! Sweet Blue beauty... Definitely a 'Blue Ribbon' winner train... This expands my Romance car fleet very nicely! Ain't it beautiful.... Aerodynamics. A good move here by MA to include the moving coupler to replace the dummy ones on car 7. The EXE did not come with this and another coupler has to be bought to replace the dummy coupler on the car in order to connect the two sets together; car 6 and car 7. The gangway diaphragm is also included, with the opening doors, which is also great and also missing from the EXE.... Now, to find a reasonable priced MSE 60000 6-car set to truly complete it.... 4 Link to comment
Suica
Hey guys. I'm still alive. I faced some financial hurdles recently, like having to buy a new car and other annoying stuff. So I kinda stopped buying any hobby related goods for a while. However, some time ago I was helping a Japanese friend with a book he published. My reward arrived today. Tomix Tobu Spacia Miyabi colour & Tomytec 1/7 Miyabi Kinugawa 6 Link to comment

Tomix Tobu Spacia Miyabi colour & Tomytec 1/7 Miyabi Kinugawa Miyabi1.jpgMiyabi2.jpgSpacia.jpg That is a nice friend you have there! The Tobu Spacia, especially the Miyabi coloured one, is one of the nicest limited express trains around, with an uncanny resemblance to a shinkansen ~ Interesting coincidence the 1/7 model also contained the word Miyabi ~ :) 1 Link to comment

ToniBabelony
I didn't spend much at the JNMA, since I didn't find anything interesting and neither had much to spend anyway. However, I did find this GreenMax made JR West 103 Series Osaka Loop Line kit for half the price (a limited offer), which then brought it down to ¥5000! A full (unpainted) kit with everything in it! I gave the decals and etched details to a friend, since I'll be rebuilding this train into a fictional SDR model. I like the big passenger windows on this particular renewed 103 Series, but not the front (it's too recognisable), so I'll be cutting out the original front and make a new one. I'm also not sure if this model will appear as a full 8-car formation, but rather will become a donor for three 4-car formations or a 4-car and 6-car formation. Also, bought a pack of unpainted Tomix buses for a fictional repaint, as my son likes buses and this will probably bring a smile on his face when they're done. 2 Link to comment
JR 500系
BUSES! Your son has a certain interesting interest as someone I know quite well ~ :P I collected another parcel from the post yesterday, one containing the latest Tomix 200-2000 series! No prizes for guessing where I got them from ~~ Nothing much, just the 200-2000 series and the latest Bus Collection 20, together with the Tomytec bus office... The 200-2000 is just beautiful in Green glory! The add-on 3 car set. Tomix was very smart this time and included a double-decker in one add-on set, and the other in the other 7-car add-on set... This made consumers needing to buy all 3 sets to actually make a nice running 200-2000 series train with 2 double decker... I guess I can do with just 1 double decker ~ 7 Link to comment
linkey
Just ordered another Shinkansen to my fleet of already owned Shinkansens. I already have a KATO N700 Shinkansen but now I have (finally) ordered a N700A Shinkansen to join with my fleet. 2 Link to comment
