katoftw
Isaburo-Shinpei crossing the New York built bridge near Kamase Station. Which is about 35km north of Hitoyoshi. Goes north for maintenence? I would've thought it when to Kagoshima depot with all the other Kihas for that? Another reason? Edited March 8, 2015 by katoftw 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Kuma Bridge Number 1? The famous one that the SL Hitoyoshi crosses with tons of rail fans photographing? Interesting to see the Isaburo there... Link to comment
bikkuri bahn
The trainset is based out of the Kumamoto Rolling Stock Center so it runs as a regular local train between Hitoyoshi and Yatsushiro. When in a three car formation, at some stations the platform length is too short, so the doors on the rearmost car remain closed at those stops. Link to comment
katoftw
Thank you. That was info I was looking for. After looking at the timetable and seeing that it starts and ends its timetabled day in Hitoyoshi, so it looked closer to Kumamoto. And as you said, it travels and is used as a local to and from Kumamoto to Hitoyoshi. First service is 10:09 from Hitoyoshi, and last service is 16:35 arriving at Hitoyoshi. I'll have to go throught the timetable and see which locals look like they fit before and after. Thanks Link to comment
