An uncut video, Suwa to Toyohashi through the JR Central Iida Line

This is the latest zenmen tenbou video (uncut, no less!) of a complete trip from Suwa to Toyohashi on the JR Central Chūō Main Line (Suwa-Okaya), the Chūō Main Line branch (Okaya-Tatsuno) and Iida Line (Tatsuno-Toyohashi):

 

 

I hope you have nearly seven hours to burn, because the video is nearly that long.

at 6:36:55- you can see the Meitetsu terminus of the Toyokawa Line to the right.

 

at 6:45:00- beginning of shared track with the Meitetsu Main Line just before the bridge crossing the Toyokawa Drainage Canal.

Actually, due to the track layout at Toyohashi Staiton, Meitetsu is actually very limited in the number of trains that can access that station. I believe a large fraction of Meitetsu trains going to Toyohashi are mostly limited express trains.

Basically 6tph from Toyohashi off-peak and evening (all are ltd. express or express).  If you want a local, you have to transfer at Ina.
