Another JRW Rail Pass Offering Kansei/Hokuriku

It is a weird pass offering half of just about every area, but being centralized to Kyoto/Osaka.

 

At 15,000 yen for 7 days, you'd still migh be better off get the All Japan pass for 29,000 yen so you can access Hiroshima, Shikoku and Nogoya.  Depends on traveler I guess.

Condition four could add a bit to the cost if you want to reserve seats.

 

"Reserved seats are not covered by the pass. If pass holders wish to use a reserved seat, nevertheless, the pass will cover only the base fare, while the limited express fee will have to be paid separately. Note that Kagayaki trains along the Hokuriku Shinkansen carry only reserved seating and cannot be used free of charge by pass holders."
