ote-m
I live in Tokyo, and I'm wondering if there's anywhere anyone could recommend where I could look to find large maps. In a perfect world, I'd be looking for a 1x3 meter map of Tokyo-to, or of the entire JR (east or not) network, or any other large wall map centered in Tokyo. I know that Tokyo Metro prints and sells a relatively large map of their lines overlaid on a geographically correct map of the city. In general, does anyone know where I could get a large, geographically accurate map of tokyo? Or just maps in general? I really like maps. Or posters! Is there any specific hobby shop or online store where I could find this? Thanks so much for answers to my variety of questions! (and let me know if this is in the wrong sub-forum) Link to comment

Nick_Burman
The 6th floor of Shosen Grande @ Jimbocho would be a possibility. Cheers NB Edited January 22, 2015 by Nick_Burman Link to comment
mrp
I’ve been looking for the Tokyo Metro calendar and wall poster map. I’ve got a couple from many years ago and would like some more recent ones. After much searching, I found the descriptions of what’s available this year. http://www.tokyometro.jp/news/2014/pdf/metroNews20140926_26g175.pdf But I guess finding somewhere I can purchase them that’s prepared to ship overseas will be impossible… Link to comment
cteno4
Mrp, Nariichi San at Modeltrainplus.net does private shopping at reasonable rates on the odd stuff like this. I got the daily Japanese calendar from Amazon.jp at a reasonable cost this way (unfortunately amazon overseas shipping price is pretty strap now) Jeff Link to comment

Takahama Trainwatcher
If you like maps, check out http://www.mukiryoku.com/railmap_e.html . I particularly like (and find rather useful) his map that includes JR East and private railways combined on the same (Tokyo) map. Link to comment
Takahama Trainwatcher
For those interested, FML has recently updated his maps at http://www.mukiryoku.com/railmap_e.html to include recent developments in Japan's urban rail networks. Link to comment
