Sacto1985
YouTube member Japan Train Viewing--who I've mentioned before--just posted a very good zenmen tenbou video of a trip on the Isumi Railway from JR East Ohara Station to Kazusa-Nakano Stations on a combined (and very old!) KiHa 28/KiHa 52 DMU trainset: Note the bouncy ride and creaking noises from this very old trainset. Nice weather outside, though. 4 Link to comment
Sacto1985
The recent third episode of NHK World's Japan Railway Journal showcased the operations on this line--the last KiHa 28 still operational in 2015. It was the KiHa 28--along with the closely-related KiHa 58 model--that essentially replaced the steam-powered passenger trains all over Japan as steam operations were phased out in the first half of the 1970's.
