katoftw
And most would know, JR Kyushu website was very bad. They have recently updated it. And includes all trains now and travel/tourist information also. It is now very good. http://www.jrkyushu.co.jp/english/index.jsp Edited January 7, 2015 by katoftw 1 Link to comment
JR 500系
Looking good now the site! Somehow, it looked strangely familiar to its Japanese counterpart - http://www.jrkyushu.co.jp/trains/ That's also the timetable published (till Feb 2015)! http://www.jrkyushu.co.jp/english/pdf/time_tabel.pdf There's a link to an external Japanese site for introduction videos to some of the tourist train rides! http://www.jr-kyushu.jp/touch_train/cm/index.html I used to use another website here: http://kyushu-japan-holidays.com/kyushu-guide/sl-hitoyoshi.html Edited January 7, 2015 by JR500 のぞみ Link to comment
Guest keio6000
While the kyushu website may look better than it looked before, have you noticed that they use images for much of the english language text? this looks pretty amateur-hour from a web design standpoint. not related, but have people noticed that the jrtr website appears to be down permanently? kvp
While the kyushu website may look better than it looked before, have you noticed that they use images for much of the english language text? As some of the english sites that has some japanese content, to support browsers without a japanese font installed. Actually the japanse language part of the site also has most menus as images, but add some flash based menus too, that isn't even visible on most apple devices. The images all have text tags, so my guess is that it was made in a content editor software.
