Sacto1985
YouTube member iijima daisuke filmed this excellent zenmen tenbou video of a ride on the JR West Takayama Main Line from Inotani to Toyama Stations using a KiHa 120 DMU: A couple of things of note: 1. The train starts at Inotani, the south end of the Takayama Main Line under JR West control. 2. As the train approaches Toyama, you can see the now-completed Hokuriku Shinkansen line with its viaduct west of Toyama Station and the newly-remodeled Toyama Station that accommodates the Shinkansen trains. This is unlike past zenmen tenbou videos taken from the Wide View Hida limited express train, which showed only a partially completed viaduct and station. 3. The train terminates not at the dead-end track used by the Wide View Hida train (you can see that dead-end track at the end of the video). 4. At the end of the video a you see a celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the completion of the full Takayama Main Line at Toyama Station. 3 Link to comment

Sacto1985
By the way, at the end of this video, (filmed in the fall of 2014), you can see the near-completion of the new terminating tracks for trains from the Takayama Main Line at Toyama Station, where the new tracks are at almost the same level as the Hokuriku Shinkansen tracks. Indeed, in a zenmen tenbou video of a very recent trip on the Hida limited express taken by YouTube user Specialrapid miyacolnuzaghi, as the KiHa 85 enters Toyama Station, the train ends at the new terminating tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW5OsYF9Yb8 1 Link to comment
