Davo Dentetsu
I dunno? We all seem to have mascots for many things? Link to comment
marknewton
True, but even in the English-speaking world they can be weird, verging on the hideous. Remember the mascots for the Olympic games held in Sydney in 2000? I still cringe at the thought of them. The whole anime/manga/moe thing leaves me cold. And creating a detailed persona and physical specifications for a safety poster illustration is weird, however you look at it. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
Densha
But it appeals to a certain crowd (at least they hope that they do), and that is exactly what the purpose is of this: to draw attention. Edited December 22, 2014 by Densha 1 Link to comment

Perhaps, but Vučko was awesome. And nothing can possibly be worse than the weird leech-like things London picked a couple years back. 1 Link to comment

katoftw
The only details they missed are their bust sizes. They put in all the other useless details. Why not those also? haha 1 Link to comment

Why not those also? haha Actually this way looks much better don't you think? Proportional ~ :) Burgerly? What's that? Is it intentional or is it a pun (looking at how the guy stole the burger from the un-suspecting commuter)... Amazed to see Taiwan having quite a number of perverted up-skirt photo takers? marknewton
Perhaps, but Vučko was awesome. And nothing can possibly be worse than the weird leech-like things London picked a couple years back. I'd never heard of Vucko until now. He looks vaguely phallic around the nose to me. I'm with you 100% on those things they used in London. They look like aroused slugs. It staggers me to think of all the money that was spent on creating these hideous things, and that there would have been many people involved in creating them, all of whom had to agree that they were the best design they could create. Presumably no-one on the team had the balls to stand up and say that these things look like animated dollops of snot. Laughable, really. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment

kvp
Actually the Budapest Transport Company (BKV) has a few non intentional mascots too, the mustached man and his family. They are originally from the informational pictogramms, but got famous: http://www.hobbivasut.hu/hirek/files/258/kiemelt_jelzesek.jpg http://m.cdn.blog.hu/ko/koki/image/bkvkozl1.jpg http://img6.indafoto.hu/3/9/28459_afb10ddfce75e4a231f083365f04e08f/10319205_ccdbb3a39d9de11056233f836ed97491_m.jpg The whole family: http://img2.indafoto.hu/3/9/28459_afb10ddfce75e4a231f083365f04e08f/20541169_06a3e0ca4af8c2425509049f465a20b6_xl.jpg Edited December 22, 2014 by kvp Link to comment

Densha
The beheaded woman calling with her phone is a bit scary, otherwise a good example of a public transport mascot that is more appropriate. Edited December 22, 2014 by Densha Link to comment
