katoftw
See pics:- Common coupler assembly accross the Kato EMU model range. The coupler piece on the left has the lower locking mech broken off. Can you buy only these pieces. I know you can buy the whole coupler assembly as one unit. I'm guessing as the grey coupler piece, spring and black piece are all universal accross many Kato models, I can just buy a coupler in the same grey from another model if I cannot locate the specific on for my model? This was from a Serie 321 Kyoto/Kobe train. I was gonna pull one off a 813 Fukuhokuyutaka Line but they are dark grey like E231/233 EMUs. Link to comment
E6系
Part numbers should be listed on the pamphlet that came with the model. If you can find it, please post the model code: 92xxx and I will try to help. Link to comment

The instruction manual does not have a parts table in the back like other manuals. So no way of finding the extact part number for the correct coupler. Only manual I have come accross without the parts table. It was the first thing I went looking for. The coupler in question is from a 10-1121 set and is off the motor car. The motor car ones are different from the 6 other cars versions. Edited December 6, 2014 by katoftw Link to comment
E6系
Hello, So sorry, I don't have 10-1121, so I cannot help with that. Kato website does not list part number for this train. Link to comment
cteno4
In this case kato I would see if any of your other trains have a coupler that works and then see if that has the part number. May have the gray/black issue though. Check with Nariichi san, maybe he can inquire on his next kato office visit. Jeff Link to comment

katoftw
Got a coupler pack from a Kuro383, whatever that is. didn't care as it had the light grey couplers. Guessing from a 383 series trainset. Took out the part I wanted and switched it into the 321 coupler unit. Done. Give me some spare springs and couplers if I ever bust something again. Not bad for 360 yen. Edited February 23, 2015 by katoftw Link to comment
